ORTHODONTICS FOR CHILDREN
Children can begin orthodontic therapy as young as age 7. This type of orthodontic intervention is called interceptive orthodontics. Children of this age have some adult teeth and some primary teeth, and there are many different options that can be used with the growing patient to achieve a stable and solid occlusion. Alternatively, children can begin orthodontic therapy after their permanent teeth have erupted, a process which is referred to as corrective orthodontics.
